Whether you’re moving into a new property or moving out of your old one, our expert cleaning team will take care of every detail, from top to bottom, leaving your space fresh and clean.

Move In/Out Clean Checklist
This checklist covers the comprehensive cleaning required when moving into or out of a property, preparing it for the next occupant.
General Areas

Dust all surfaces including shelves, light fixtures, vents, baseboards, door frames, and switch plates

Wash window and clean window sills and tracks

Vacuum and clean all floors including corners and hard-to-reach areas

Remove all trash and debris from property

Bedrooms

Dust and clean all surfaces, including inside closets

Clean windows and window sills

Vacuum carpets or sweep/mop hard flooring

Remove any remaining personal items

Living Room

Clean and disinfect all surfaces

Vacuum carpets or clean hard floors

Wipe down walls and remove scuff marks

Ensure all personal items are removed

Kitchen

Clean and disinfect countertops and backsplashes

Clean inside and out of all appliances (oven, fridge, microwave)

Clean and sanitize cabinets and drawers (must be empty)

Clean sink and faucets thoroughly

Sweep and mop floors thoroughly

Bathrooms

Clean and disinfect toilets, sinks, countertops

Deep clean and sanitize shower/tub, tiles, and grout

Wipe mirrors and glass surfaces

Clean and disinfect floors

Clean and sanitize bathroom cabinets and drawers (must be empty)

Final Touches

Perform final walk-through to confirm completion

Ensure lights off, windows closed, doors locked

Leave notes or documentation for new tenants

NOT Included in Standard Move In/Out Clean:
  • Exterior window washing
  • Heavy furniture or appliance moving
  • Wall washing or stain removal
  • Pest or biohazard cleanup
  • Laundry or dishes
  • Personal organization
  • Garage, basement, or attic cleaning
  • Carpet or Upholstery Steam Cleaning (unless added)
  • Power washing of exterior surfaces
  • Chimney or dryer vent cleaning
  • Inside washer or dryer drum cleaning
  • Inside fireplace cleaning
  • Cleaning behind permanently installed appliances
  • Ceiling or wall repainting or repair
  • Light fixture disassembly or work requiring more than a 2 step ladder
  • Grout restoration or re-sealing
  • Interior HVAC vent or duct cleaning
  • Exterior porch, patio, or balcony scrubbing
  • Trash hauling or removal

Some services may be available as add-ons – please ask to customize your visit. Biohazard cleanup (e.g. blood, bodily fluids) and attic cleaning, or extensive wall washing is not included.

Clean Time Disclaimer (Move In/Out Clean)
Estimated duration per square footage (1 cleaner):
  • 0–500 sq ft: 1.75 hrs
  • 501–1,000 sq ft: 3.5 hrs
  • 1,001–1,500 sq ft: 5.25 hrs
  • 1,501–2,000 sq ft: 7 hrs
  • 2,001–2,500 sq ft: 8.75 hrs
  • 2,501–3,000 sq ft: 10.5 hrs
  • 3,001–3,500 sq ft: 12.75 hrs
  • 3,501–4,000 sq ft: 14 hrs
  • 4,001–4,500 sq ft: 15.75 hrs
  • 4,501–5,000 sq ft: 17.5 hrs

All time estimates are for one cleaner and split evenly if more cleaners are assigned. Jobs over 7 hours include two cleaners; 14+ hours include three. Most services finish within the allotted time. Add-ons and heavy buildup or unique conditions may require extra time, which will be communicated and approved before proceeding.
